Lore
Filed by Valcaris crossbow masters from hardened siege spring steel. It counts the rhythm of combat, releasing an armor-piercing kinetic impulse upon every third discharge to pierce divine wards.
Appearance
A mechanical steel spur mechanism consisting of three interlocking geared cogs mounted on a curved heel bracket. The burnished steel teeth click with a sharp metallic snap upon each movement, showing minute oil marks. Bolted to a combat boot heel or glove gauntlet, the spring-loaded apparatus hums with stored tension, snapping forward with a piercing silver spark on every third blow.
