Lore

Fitted by Skyroot ascetics by binding fossilized amber nodules into Hollow March road boots. When the wearer nears death, ancient sap surges upward to encase their body in an impenetrable amber monolith.

Appearance

A pair of armored marching boots constructed from tough brown cowhide, plated across the shins and insteps with brass brackets holding nodules of petrified golden amber. Iron hobnails line the mud-crusted soles, while heavy leather straps buckle behind the calves. Worn over wool foot wraps, the boots feel solidly grounded, shedding a motionless honey glow that crystalizes into an impervious translucent stasis shell whenever lethal damage strikes.
