Appearance

A palm-sized nodule of translucent honey-gold amber enclosing a curled primordial beetle within its core. Rough crystalline facets catch the sun, while fine hairline fractures crisscross the polished exterior. Set securely inside a heavy cage of tarnished brass prongs and suspended from a braided leather thong, the stone radiates a deep, motionless golden warmth that flares into an unyielding shell when danger strikes.
