Wounded Prey

Deals 29% more damage to enemies below 50% HP.

How it works
  • 13% armor penetration: the hero's physical damage counts only 87% of the target's armor (a share, not a flat amount). Against 200 armor 36.5% of a hit lands instead of 33.3% (x 1.09 damage); against 50, 69.7% instead of 66.7% (x 1.05). Penetration from several sources adds up, at most 100%; it does nothing to 0 or negative armor.

Lore

Extracted by Thornmere beast stalkers from the jaw of a fen direwolf. The predatory tooth smells mortal weakness, guiding weapons to bite deeper into wounded and faltering quarry.

Appearance

A curved predatory canine tooth four inches long, yellowed with age and stained with dried dark marrow at the root. Crude geometric hunting runes are carved into the thick enamel and rubbed with charcoal. Bound to a weapon grip or baldric with braided sinew cord, the heavy tooth throbs with hot crimson malice whenever nearby enemies bleed.
