Lore
Tailored by Serravel weavers from dusk-drake hide and star-iron thread. It reacts to nearby hostile intent by hardening into a shell of celestial bulwarks that turns aside crushing strikes.
Appearance
A wide shoulder mantle made from overlapping scales of charcoal drake hide, trimmed with thick silver fox fur around the collar. Interlaced wires of dull star-iron weave between the leather scales, showing nicked edges and battle scuffs from spear thrusts. Draped over both shoulders and fastened across the breastbone with an iron talon clasp, the mantle shimmers with a deep indigo sheen whenever enemy warriors approach.
