Lore
Built by Qorun frontier scouts by mounting a reflexed horn bow stave onto a Chainforge steel arbalest. It hurls heavy armor-piercing quarrels across vast distances, crippling the advance of formidable enemy warlords.
Appearance
A heavy hunting arbalest featuring a composite prod of dark mountain yew and polished horn, bolted to a blackened steel tiller. A copper-wrapped guide channel cradles an ash bolt tipped with a four-flanged armor-piercing steel head. Braced against the shoulder with an iron-rimmed cheek rest and aimed with two hands, the arbalest displays sun emblems in worn lacquer, releasing concussive snaps and steel sparks that impale distant vanguard champions.
