  • 16% crit chance: that share of basic attacks crit for x 1.75 damage (at the base +75% crit damage), so basic attacks deal x 1.12 on average. Skills never crit; at most 100%.
  • Crits deal x 1.94 damage (the base +75% plus 19%): a 100 damage attack crits for 194.
  • 14% armor penetration: the hero's physical damage counts only 86% of the target's armor (a share, not a flat amount). Against 200 armor 36.8% of a hit lands instead of 33.3% (x 1.1 damage); against 50, 69.9% instead of 66.7% (x 1.05). Lore

Hammered in the Hollow March by Barrow Census executioners from a knapped gallowsedge hatchet and a rusted gallows brand. It chops through failing flesh, executing condemned foes whose vitality drops beneath the gallows mark.

Appearance

A brutal broadaxe combining a rectangular head of pitted black pit-iron with a razor beard knapped from black river flint. A rusted iron brand shaped like a hangman noose is welded directly to the rear poll, crusted with dark tallow. Fitted to a stout ash haft wrapped in greasy rawhide and notched execution tallies, the heavy axe rests in two hands, leaking freezing barrow fog and dripping dark mist when swung.
