Rimeguard

When hit by an attack, slows the attacker's move speed by 28% and attack speed by 25% for 2s.

How it works
  • 16.5% slow resistance: slows on the unit are x 0.83 as strong, so a 50% slow becomes 41.8%; their length stays.

Lore

Assembled by Cheongmae ascetics by binding Skaldfell frost worm carapaces into frosted silver plate and salted linen. It encases attackers in bitter hoarfrost and discharges explosive glacial rime when enemies draw near.

Appearance

A massive kite shield constructed from heavy frosted silver lames layered over a broad triangular scale of pale cyan frost worm carapace, draped with fragments of salted linen. Miniature silver chimes hang from the engraved snowflake rim, coated in needle-like ice crystals that never melt. Braced against the forearm with thick cowhide straps, the bulwark continuously leaks freezing fog, detonating in a blinding eruption of white frost whenever struck by hostile weapons.
