Muting Brand
Silence the enemy with the most mana within 8.5m for 4s; after 3s it takes 87 magic damage plus 36% of the damage it took meanwhile.

- Range 8.5m
Unique Passive
Hexed Edge
Attacks deal 90 bonus magic damage.
How it works
- 16% magic resist penetration: the hero's magic damage counts only 84% of the target's magic resist (a share, not a flat amount). Against 200 magic resist 37.3% of a hit lands instead of 33.3% (x 1.12 damage); against 50, 70.4% instead of 66.7% (x 1.06). Penetration from several sources adds up, at most 100%; it does nothing to 0 or negative magic resist.
- 17% crit chance: that share of basic attacks crit for x 1.75 damage (at the base +75% crit damage), so basic attacks deal x 1.13 on average. Skills never crit; at most 100%.
Built from
Lore
Ground by Malakar inquisitors from a meteoric glass hushbrand dagger and the star-iron needles of an arcane bite. It pierces sorcerous channels with agonizing magic stings, sealing incantations until stored damage detonates in ruin.
Appearance
A slender triangular stiletto fashioned from smoky meteoric glass, reinforced along the spine by twin needle-sharp star-iron rods inlaid with blue lapis glyphs. Acid-etched lead runes line the faceted glass bevels above a compact crossguard of blackened iron. Drawn from a sharkskin hip sheath by a silk-wrapped hilt, the cold weapon hums with violet luminescence, releasing silent dark motes and stinging arcs of celestial electricity on every thrust.
