Arcane Echo
A skill or item active that damages an enemy deals 130 extra magic damage to it (3s cooldown).
How it works
- 11% spell vamp: skills and procs heal the caster for 11% of the damage they deal after the target's armor or magic resist (100 damage dealt heals 11).
- 12% magic resist penetration: the hero's magic damage counts only 88% of the target's magic resist (a share, not a flat amount). Against 200 magic resist 36.2% of a hit lands instead of 33.3% (x 1.09 damage); against 50, 69.4% instead of 66.7% (x 1.04). Penetration from several sources adds up, at most 100%; it does nothing to 0 or negative magic resist.
- 8% cooldown reduction: skill and item active cooldowns x 0.92, so a 20s cooldown takes 18.4s. Sources add up, at most 50%; relic cuts (Chronal Sandglass, Tinker's Gearbox) multiply after that.

Lore
Bound by blood mages in Thornmere from a living heartwood chalice and a starflare sigil of star-iron. It chants a sacrificial hymn that burns hostile flesh with celestial radiance while mending the dying bearer.
Appearance
A thick ritual grimoire bound in dark green heartwood boards, mounted with a central ruby glass basin in place of a clasp. An eight-pointed star-iron medallion is inset directly beneath the cup, surrounded by thorny blackened filigree and silver hinges. Held by a broad leather arm wrap, the weathered leather pages seep thick crimson resin, glowing with blinding solar flares that bathe the wielder in crimson warmth.
