Seoran climbed a pine peak above Gyeolhan as a boy and came down a sword immortal, riding one blade over the mist with eight more circling him like needles. The Vermilion Roll writes such men early. He went to Lanthuy to test the one sword heaven ever surrendered, lost to its keeper Hathu in a single draw, and asked her to teach him to lose again. Offered a seat, he remembered a god's heart sets like stone, burned his name and married her. Kaeyun's hawk warned him the Censors were coming; she is the one hero he still bows to. His destined office is Blades. The Lord of Scabbards holds it, and sheathes every sword below the clouds.
Nine swords, and only one duel lost. I married the winner.

Seoran climbed a pine peak above Gyeolhan as a boy and mastered the secret of riding mist between mountain crags. When threatened, he leaps onto one flat flying sword with a flutter of his wide gauze sleeves, soaring swiftly over the mist to escape danger. As his cloth shoes touch down upon the pale blue-white steel at his new ground, a shockwave of swirling white fog and sharp pine-green light bursts outward, battering surrounding enemies.

Before descending from Gyeolhan, Seoran spent years teaching his flying steel to trace curving paths through mountain drafts. He flicks a slender hand from his layered white robes, directing one slim, double-edged sword of pale blue-white steel to streak forward. Its pine-green tassel whistles as the blade cuts cleanly through the first foe, rebounding sharply to chain across adjacent enemies in a zigzagging flash of steel-blue radiance before curving back to his orbit.

He raises two fingers within his wide pine-green sleeve, calling down multiple flying swords from the heavens above the mist. The pale blue-white blades plunge downward like falling stars, embedding into the soil in an interlocking geometric lattice that blasts the crowded enemies with jade-green light and pins them completely motionless to the earth.

Eight slim, double-edged swords of pale blue-white steel continuously orbit his body in a slow ring of glinting points. When hostile strikes draw near, their rapid rotation weaves a shimmering cage of steel-blue light that turns aside physical blows, prompting one blade to dart out on its pine-green tassel and cut the aggressor.

With a faint smile beneath his jade crown pin, he thrusts both rippling gauze sleeves forward, commanding his circling blades to loose like needles on the wind. The pale blue-white swords streak outward in a whistling volley, their pine-green tassels trailing as they pierce the nearest adversaries with bursts of cutting steel-blue magic.

He steps off his riding blade and floats serenely upon the mist, lifting both arms as his wide sleeves billow against the clouds. All nine pale blue-white swords soar into the sky and plummet one by one like radiant comets, striking scattered enemies with shattering bursts of jade light that leave each target helpless and stunned.

Seoran is a tall, slender man in his mid thirties with an ageless, smooth pale face, calm long dark eyes, a faint smile and long black hair worn loose to the waist, held by a small jade crown pin. He wears a Cheongmae sword hermit's robes: layered white and pale pine-green gauze with very wide sleeves that ripple in the wind, a dark green sash and cloth shoes, with mist clinging to his hem. His weapons are nine flying swords, all alike: slim, straight, double-edged swords of pale blue-white steel, each with a small round jade-green guard, a grip wrapped in white cord and a long pine-green silk tassel at the pommel. He stands or rides on one, flat beneath his feet, while the other eight circle him point first in a slow glinting ring, like needles. Palette: white, pine green, steel blue.
