Feral furnace creatures that crawl along the crucible gutters where molten waste drains down the mountain. They guard the vents, swallow boiling slag and spit it back in arcing globs that splash across a band's ranks. Their burning hail forces climbers to scatter across the treacherous ash fields.

Born in the fiery runoff of the Chainforge, this furnace crawler survives by feeding upon the boiling waste of the mountain gutters. The creature hunches low on four scuttling legs and gulps down an incandescent pool of liquid iron. Rearing back its blistered snout, it regurgitates a heavy, glowing glob of molten orange slag that crashes into enemy ranks, splattering burning waste across the ash.

Appearance
The slag spitter is a feral quadrupedal furnace beast the size of a boar, adapted to scuttle along the crucible gutters of the Ashen Wastes. It has a squat, hunchbacked body supported by four thick splayed legs with obsidian hooves, a broad flattened head with a blistered snout, and an expandable throat sac. Its hide is made of thick leathery skin encrusted with jagged plates of cooled black slag, blistered heat vents, and dried sulfur crystals. It fights without manufactured weapons, using its heat-hardened gullet to swallow boiling crucible runoff and regurgitate arcing bombs of incandescent orange slag that splatter across enemy lines. Hissing plumes of yellow sulfuric smoke continuously vent from its nostrils and back scales. Palette: cooled slag black, incandescent orange, sulfur yellow.
