Constructed to haul iron ore through the Chainforge, the basalt hulk is bound to guard the smelting floors with crushing momentum. The brute raises its massive boulder fists high above its molten slag shoulders before slamming them violently into the floor. A concussive shockwave of cracked stone and black dust erupts outward, shattering enemy footing and leaving surrounding fighters stunned and senseless.

Appearance
The basalt hulk is a massive elemental stone construct standing nine feet tall, carved from cooled volcanic basalt and mortared with molten slag to guard the Chainforge. It possesses a blocky, broad-shouldered humanoid frame with thick pillar-like legs, a low-set neckless head resembling a rough-hewn boulder, and two glowing orange vents for eyes. Its dense hide consists of interlocking slabs of dark grey basalt, with seams and joints oozing sluggish veins of bright orange slag that solidify into rocky mortar. Its weapons are two colossal boulder fists of solid black volcanic stone, brought crashing down into the floor to fracture the ground with stunning concussive force. Waves of dry volcanic heat and dark stone dust shimmer from its shoulders. Palette: basalt grey, molten orange, slag black. Silhouette hook: a monolithic, neckless stone brute with disproportionately massive boulder fists.
