Epic relic
Skaldfell Whetstone
Effect
All heroes gain +15% critical strike chance and +30% critical strike damage.
Lore
A coarse river stone carried by Skaldfell berserkers down frozen fjords. Blades ground along its pitted surface thirst for bone and strike with savage, unforgiving precision when blood first spatters.
Appearance
An eight-inch oblong whetstone ground from dense grey river schist, marked along both flanks by hundreds of fine diagonal honing scratches. The coarse mineral grain is dark and stained with deep red oil, giving off a sharp iron odor. One rounded end is pierced with a forged star-iron rivet and a braided rawhide thong. Resting in a leather sheath, it feels rough and icy cold to the touch.
