Chipped by Taruvai beast-tamers from the chitinous shell of trench crawlers in the Drowned Reach. It turns aside crushing blows while snapping outwards with barbed spines to punish overeager attackers.
Appearance
A curved chest cuirass crafted from overlapping slabs of iridescent black crustacean shell, reinforced by bronze rivets along the spine. Row upon row of serrated horn spines jut forward from the breastplate, chipped from heavy impacts. Strapped over leather arming doublets with oiled rawhide thongs, the dark shell gleams with an oily green sheen and deflects strikes with harsh metallic scrapes.
