Lore
Chipped by heretic smiths in the Ashen Wastes from anti-sorcerous slag and void glass. It hungers for ethereal energy, carving away enemy mana reserves and transforming drained power into tearing wounds.
Appearance
A jagged sliver of iridescent purple volcanic glass roughly six inches long, featuring chipped, razor-sharp edges. Dark internal veins pulse with smoky amethyst light that swirls erratically within the stone. Bound to the weapon pommel or hilt with coarse copper wire, the jagged crystal hums with a ravenous vibration, spitting tiny violet embers that devour nearby magical reservoirs.
