Lore
Pounded by Ostmar smiths from hardened bog iron upon mountain anvils. They fasten armor plates securely together, reinforcing leather and mail against shearing blades and piercing spear tips.
Appearance
A pouch filled with several dozen thick iron studs, each featuring a domed round head and a cross-cut split shank. The grey metal displays coarse hammer indentations, with faint patches of dark oil shielding the surfaces from moisture. Driven through overlapping leather cuirasses and steel plate seams, the sturdy fasteners seat flush against armor edges, reflecting torchlight with a plain, utilitarian steel luster.
