An iron branding tool dipped in the sap of Elderhusk the Rotwood Ancient. Its thorned strike leaves weeping black wounds that refuse the blessing of mending arts.
Appearance
A two-foot branding iron forged from pitted, blackened iron, ending in an open head formed of barbed, intertwined metal thorns. The iron tip is permanently coated in thick, glistening black tree pitch that smells of wet rot and never hardens. The long handle is wrapped in coarse ash-grey linen to insulate the user from corrosive heat. Carried slung across the back or gripped with both hands, the heavy brand smolders with acrid black smoke.
