Rare relic
Dread Lantern
Effect
An enemy that drops below 25% HP is gripped by fear for 1.2 s (once per enemy each fight).
Lore
A bone lantern carried by the bailiffs of Dreadwarden Malakar. Its pale, sickly flame shows dying servants the terror of the barrow pits, paralyzing them in shivering fear.
Appearance
A foot-tall grave lantern constructed from yellowed human rib bones fitted into a tarnished bronze base. The vented top is shaped from a bleached cranial dome, housing a sickly pale-green spirit flame that casts long, shivering shadows without throwing heat. Wax drippings and chiseled burial tallies encrust the base. Suspended by a curved bronze overhead handle with a ring grip, the lantern swings cold and heavy from the bearer's fingers.
