Effects

Active

Stormcharge Bolt

Shoot the most dangerous enemy within 9.5m: 170 magic damage plus 24 per tenth of stored charge, which it spends, and a 30% slow for 1.5s.

  • Cooldown 12s
  • Range 9.5m

Unique Passive

Storm Charge

Moving (6 per metre) and attacking (9 per attack) build energy up to 100. At full energy the next attack gains 3.5m range and discharges 285 magic damage that bounces to up to 3 more enemies.

How it works
  • 18% crit chance: that share of basic attacks crit for x 1.75 damage (at the base +75% crit damage), so basic attacks deal x 1.14 on average. Skills never crit; at most 100%.
  • Crits deal x 2 damage (the base +75% plus 25%): a 100 damage attack crits for 200.
  • 14% magic resist penetration: the hero's magic damage counts only 86% of the target's magic resist (a share, not a flat amount). Against 200 magic resist 36.8% of a hit lands instead of 33.3% (x 1.1 damage); against 50, 69.9% instead of 66.7% (x 1.05). Penetration from several sources adds up, at most 100%; it does nothing to 0 or negative magic resist.

Lore

Assembled in Serravel by clockwork artificers from a galvanic brass canister and a caged celestial violet prism. It gathers kinetic static with every stride, releasing stored electrical fury in long-range piercing astral bolts.

Appearance

A massive mechanical arbalest combining a blackened steel tiller with a guide rail of alternating zinc and copper plates, mounting a cylindrical brass battery along the stock. A faceted violet beryl prism crowns the prod, wired directly to bubbling glass acid tubes through fine silver filigree. Aimed from the shoulder with two hands, the siege weapon hums with volatile static, discharging blinding bolts of crackling yellow lightning.
