How it works
  • 14% armor penetration: the hero's physical damage counts only 86% of the target's armor (a share, not a flat amount). Against 200 armor 36.8% of a hit lands instead of 33.3% (x 1.1 damage); against 50, 69.9% instead of 66.7% (x 1.05). Penetration from several sources adds up, at most 100%; it does nothing to 0 or negative armor.

Lore

Assembled in the Chainforge by warden smiths from spiked gravelock manacles and a Taruvai plunderhook charm. The barbed clamps pin dangerous champions helplessly in place while serrated hooks strip away protective plating for the wielder.

Appearance

A vicious pair of clawed combat gauntlets forged from blackened slag iron manacles, articulated with triangular quarrel barbs along each finger knuckle. A heavy curved gaff hook extends from each outer wrist, linked to dangling copper rings and twisted chain links. Bound to the forearms with thick greasy hide straps, the brutal claws show pit rust and hammer strikes, gleaming with greasy grey light as stripped armor transfers over.
