Tharumbra was a divine beast of the deep sea, written to the roll for carrying a drowning fleet to shore on its back. Invested as the Tides, it swims the cloud sea above the treeline in long, slow circles and has forgotten everything but the tide. Every sweep of its flukes moves a storm. When a band climbs onto its reef, it raises whirlpools and comes down on the ledge in a maelstrom that cracks the mountainside.

It swings its massive, barnacle-encrusted tail flukes in a wide horizontal arc, crashing down a colossal wave of condensed blue brine that batters the vanguard and leaves them slowed in deep foam.

The silent hunters glide over wet stone without a sound, lunging forward to pierce heavy armor and drag prey into the Abyss.

The Abyssal Leviathan is a colossal divine beast boss and living spirit of the Tides, stretching twenty feet long as Tharumbra swims through the cloud sea. It possesses a majestic, whale-like aquatic bulk of streamlined muscle, an immense blunt head with wise amber eyes, and great sweeping pectoral flippers that ride the mountain winds. Its hide consists of thick, interlocking midnight-indigo scales reinforced by dense crustacean plates, encrusted with ancient barnacles, kelp frills, and glowing bioluminescent runes. It fights using its titanic tail flukes to unleash sweeping tidal cleaves, diving into cloud banks to churn howling whirlpools, and breaching high into the air before plunging down in an apocalyptic maelstrom. Blinding teal bioluminescence pulses steadily along its dorsal ridges through the fog. Palette: midnight indigo, bioluminescent teal, barnacle white.
